This
is the sweetest, smartest dog on the planet. (Of course, that's
an objective opinion) His full name is Billabong since he's half
Australian Shepherd-half Akita. Billi's almost seven years old, weighs
in at about 75 pounds and is completely solid. No fat on this boy. He's
incredibly smart, which I totally take for granted until I talk with
other dog owners about their pet's little "habits."
This photo was taken when he still has his winter coat which is very
long and beautiful. When he has his summer cut, he looks much more
like an Akita because we shave everything but his curly bushy tail.
(Which got him the nickname of "bottlebrush") We have an amazing
connection that transcends mere words. I'm a very lucky man to have
Billi in my life.
