Oscar
McElroy Plante was born on October 31, 1999 in Marmora, Ontario,
Canada and he was the only male of his litter of ten puppies. Oscar is
a yellow Labrador Retriever with a warm caramel flowing through his
body. As you can see he is a beautiful dog, a master piece to his
breed. Oscar was a Christmas present to me from my son Kasey. On
December 15, 1999 my son and I booked off work for our trip to
Marmora; an eight-hour car ride. Since then, Oscar and I enrolled in a
basic obedience course in August 2000, after his eight week course we
then joined a nine month Super Dog Course which consisted of advanced
obedience, agility, tracking and learning tricks. Oscar is excellent
and his performance is outstanding in every one of these categories. I
can tell Oscar to sit, come, stand, down and stay by hand signals
which is pretty amazing to see. At the completion of his course in
July 2001, Oscar won two trophies: the first was for Best Agility Dog
- 2001 and the second for Best Trick Dog - 2001. Oscar and I have a
very special bond and I love him very much. He is my second best
friend, my first being my son...
