I
saw my little Pearly Queen in England when she was eight weeks old
and I immediately in love. Pearl's breeder brought her over to
us, and she charmed everyone all the way to the US. She was a
passenger in the cabin along with her breeder, and the flight
attendants all took turns taking her with them for a nap during
their breaks. She landed in Ohio and our lives have never been
the same since.
Pearl acts like she is of English Royalty, as she holds her head
up high, squints her eyes or looks at us out of the corner of her
eyes, and snuggles right up by our chin and neck as if to say
"You are so lucky to be blessed by my presence!" She makes us
laugh every day because she sometimes looks like a little alien
and she is so smart and manipulative. She gets anything and
everything she wants, including her own pillow and her own
portion of the comforter in bed. When she doesn't approve of
something she makes a big "Sigh!" through her nose and looks at
us out of the corner of her eyes. It is so hilarious because we
can just imagine her saying in her English accent "Honestly, you
common people just don't know the proper way to act sometimes!"
Pearl enjoys sitting on the sofa, or sitting on the recliner, or
laying in the bed - and then watching everything going on. But
if you call her name she comes running over to you with her
little bum and tail wagging as fast as absolutely possible. It
is so funny to see her because sometimes she points her nose up
in the air and acts so royal-like, and then when she gets excited
and has a very fast wiggly bum she looks so un-royal-like. We
have never been happier to have our little Pearly Queen, and we
will treasure her forever.
